Welcome to the First Apostolic Church of Dublin website! We encourage you to browse through our ministry links and discover what is happening this month at the FACD. We hope the information provided on this website is a blessing to you and we hope to see you soon at church.
Upon returning from the mission field, in 1986, Bishop Richard E. Collins along with his wife, Jeannie, and two daughters, held the very first service of the First Apostolic Church of Dublin on December 23, 1986, in the home of the late Eugene Johnston and his wife, Mary Jane. This initial service began with six in attendance. What was planned as a 3 week visit in Columbus resulted in over 25 years of ministry in the area.
Our Pastor, Jeffrey Tibbs, extends a warm welcome to you. We are here to serve your spiritual needs.
What To Expect
Are you new? Come as you are. At our services you will see people in suits and ties and in casual attire. In our main lobby you will find volunteers to help you get to where you want to go.
We offer classes for all ages on Sundays and Wednesdays. From nursery to senior high, every child and youth has somewhere to go. Every teacher is screened and qualified to do their job.
All children should be escorted to and from their classes by a parent or guardian.
The youth department of the FACD is a group of amazing young people that love God; all with different personalities and gifts that God has given them, to bless all who get to know them. Every 2nd and 4th Sunday they have events focused on their age group.
Our Basic Beliefs
From the Bible, we learn that there is one God and that this God has manifest Himself as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Jesus is the Old Testament God (Father) manifest in the flesh (Son). The Holy Spirit is God coming to dwell or live in us.
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God (II Timothy 3:16). We do not commit to church creeds or teachings of men, but look only to the Bible. The faith was taught completely by the apostles, which they received from Jesus Christ, and nothing more need be added.
The Bible also teaches us the way of salvation (Acts 2:38). From this we learn that we must repent (turn from sin and toward God), be baptized in water (in the name of Jesus Christ) and we then are promised to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. That promise was prophesied (Isaiah 28:11) and fulfilled (Acts 2:11). No Biblical passage states that this experience should end. We still experience this life-changing power today.
Finally, we believe in the literal return of Jesus Christ for His Church. We believe He will come back in the same way that He went away after His resurrection (Acts 1:11). We live our lives in longing hope of His return (Revelation 22:20).
We want to connect with the city of Dublin! It is our mission to connect people to God by serving. We are doing that in a variety of ways, including but not limited to, Dublin Community Service Day, hosting Red Cross Blood Drives, Community Picnic and other volunteer efforts in and around the city of Dublin. We are excited to continue working in our community and getting involved in even more ways!
We want the city of Dublin to know we're here and we care. From food pantry drives to cleaning up parks and neighborhoods; we jump at the opportunity to serve our community.
FACD has hosted Red Cross blood drives over the years, to help make a difference in the lives of our communities.
Fourth of July Celebration
Each year we join the city of Dublin in celebrating our independence. FACD has been a part of the Dublin 4th of July parade. We also host a picnic, the Sunday of. Keep in touch with us to hear about the food, games, sponsors, prizes and fun we have every 4th of July!
Over the years we have shown support and financially provided for the work of missions. We have been able to bless and aid missionary families, who are sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ to everyone across the world.
Dining With the King
Once a year, FACD hosts Dining with the King. DWTK invites young ladies to come for dining, fun times and affirmation in the call to chastity till marriage, as given by God's Word. We believe in the blessings that come from godly men, marrying godly women who know how to love their husband and preserve their family.
Ladies Bible Study
Our Ladies Bible study runs for 8 weeks each year during the months of March and April. The lessons are on Saturday at 10:00 am. for one hour each week. The title of this Bible study is "Daughters of the Promise".

Hear What God Has Done
Bishop Collins was told on Wednesday he was lucky he didn't die because of the blockages - no luck, it was God!
God provided us with a car when every time one broke down.
I was on a path of destruction. God turned it around, kept me from prison and preserved my life when my body was littered with blood clots.
